ASTM F903 – Resistance penetration by liquid chemicals. ASTM F1671 – Resistance penetration by viral and bloodborne pathogens.

As with all our Baselayers, it is also free from PFAS/PFOS and is a British product.

Enduro Protect Defender Baselayer Overview
The Defender is our original highly effective technical garment, designed to deliver second-to-none protection and comfort. Created with our original patented fabric mesh, this Baselayer is engineered to protect you from cancer-causing carcinogens in smoke and fire. The defender provides heat, chemical and pathogen protection whilst not containing PFAS/PFOS.
The Defender Baselayer is the result of five years research and collaboration between Enduro Protect and firefighters in the UK. It was this version of our Baselayer that initially featured in scientific research to measure the effectiveness of protective Baselayers in firefighting. Evidence has shown that this Baselayer blocks harmful particulates and hazardous substances all the way through to chemical warfare: earning it the name “Defender”.
The Defender is sweat wicking and rapid drying. It is a tough, long-lasting garment that has been fashioned from our own patented material. The key difference between this and our Advance baselayers is that the defender isn’t fire retardant nor anti-static.
